June 1st meeting is our Stash Realignment sale and BYOL picnic!
Time: 11:00 am
Location: East Berlin Area Community Center Pavilion
Bring: Lunch, Lawn Chair, and items for the sale!
How the sale works:
You go through your fiber arts stash (books, magazines, fiber, and equipment) and remove items you no longer want/need that someone else may desire. (You know, the "what was I thinking?" or "been there, done that" kind of stuff)
•Bring items to the picnic and display them on the tables provided.
• At the picnic, if you see an item you want, you put your money into “the contribution box". The amount you choose to spend on the item should be reasonable for the used value of the item at a "yard sale". Funds collected are used for guild programs.
• Some larger value items are purchased through a silent auction which takes place before the beginning of the yarn sale
If you are not a member but are interested in attending, please email centralpaweavers@gmail.com.

Welcome to the Central Pennsylvania Guild of Handweavers (CPGH)
The purpose of the Central Pennsylvania Guild of Handweavers is to promote excellence in design and craftsmanship in the fiber arts, to promote enjoyment of the fiber arts and to provide educational and social opportunities for its members.
The Guild strives to meet these goals through its monthly meetings and informal study groups. At most meetings, we feature a program related to the fiber arts, show-and-tell of members work, "weave doctor" to help solve problems, a short business meeting, and socializing.
We meet at 10 AM on the first Wednesday of each month (September through June) and at 6 PM on the first Wednesday of July and August. Currently meetings are being held virtually via Zoom. When in-person meeting resume, they will be at the East Berlin Area Community Center, 405 North Ave, East Berlin, Pennsylvania, 17316. We host a winter holiday potluck and gift exchange in December (starts at 11 AM) and the June meeting is a Pot Luck Picnic & "Castoffs" Sale that raises money for the Guild. Check out our upcoming programs.
CPGH owns and manages a great library of books, periodicals, videos and weaving samples. Members are welcome to browse the collection and check out items before and after the meeting. The CPGH library page lists items in our collection.
The Guild is pleased to offer our members an opportunity to advance their weaving skills through our Guild Advancement Program.
CPGH currently has approximately 90 members, mostly from Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia. Visitors are always welcome to attend a meeting free of charge.
Typical CPGH Meeting Schedule:
9:30AM Library Opens
10:00 AM Monthly Program begins
followed by a brief business meeting
11:30 AM Social time (bring your lunch if you like )
12:30 PM Library closes
