If you’re like me and enjoy learning (and anticipating) how weave structures influence fabric drape, I am sharing this article (Physicist is unraveling knitting's math secrets) about Dr. Elisabetta Matsumoto at Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr. Matsumoto (who is also an avid knitter) has a research center dedicated to examining the geometry of materials and the mechanical properties of fabrics.  Here is a link to her website.
